Timmy previously studied English, art and education at the University of Central Florida—an interdisciplinary foundation that continues to shape how he writes, illustrates and teaches through story.
He continued developing his visual storytelling through studio-art coursework at Crealdé School of Art in Winter Park, learning through hands-on instruction with working artists.
During his ten years with the Walt Disney Company, Timmy regularly taught classes at Disney University while also working as an actor and puppeteer.
His practical education experience includes author visits and live presentations in schools across the United States, professional learning for teachers, literacy-focused interviews and the development of story-driven homeschool curriculum through DinoPreneurs.
Timmy’s work is built around a practical question: how do you make an idea compelling enough that a child wants to stay with it? That question connects his academic study to his work as an author, speaker, performer, interviewer and curriculum creator.
